There is hope The Club at Tuffley Park will reopen after going into liquidation.
Councillor Sebastian Field said the buildings are owned by the city council and it is hoped a new leaseholder will take over the facility.
Councillor Sebastian Field said: “I was sorry to see this business close. I have been liaising with the city council over the future of the building and I am confident that they will find a suitable tenant to take it on.”
