Weed spraying and removal – it’s just not happening

Your local Lib Dem Spotlight team have been pressing the city council to spray and remove the weeds from footways and gutters in Hucclecote.

Councillor David Brown said: "We were told that weed spraying had stopped because the operatives had been redeployed to cover for others who were shielding due to coronavirus.

"Now the lockdown is easing weed spraying and removal should be happening but it isn't.

"The latest problem, we are told, is that the only PPE for weed spraying is made in Germany and they are not currently exporting.

"We are expecting weed clearing to be restarted soon."
