Local resident Jo cooks meals for the needy

Local residents offered their help in any way they could during the lockdown.

Jo Hayward (pictured left with one of her meals) offered to cook a roast dinner for a few of those who were self isolating and unable to get out to the shops.

"I did not want to do it for a profit it was purely something I thought that I could offer to those in desperate need," she said.

"I had some lovely feedback so much so the seven different households have asked if I would continue to cook the meals for them on a regular basis.

"I feel very lucky that those I have been cooking for have put their trust in me to cook their meals.

"As after all they don't really even know me. My husband, myself and my youngest son also went out collecting shopping."
