Liberal Democrats are the winners of the county council elections in Gloucestershire

The Liberal Democrats have become the largest party on Gloucestershire County Council and look set to lead the authority.
They won 27 of the 55 seats the council - jumping from 16 to win 11 more seats.
The Liberal Democrats gained seats in Longlevens with Sarah Sawyer elected and Hempsted & Westgate where Rebecca Trimnell won.
The party held Barnwood & Hucclecote and Kingsholm & Wotton, with Ashley Bowkett and Jeremy Hilton elected.
Other wins in the county included Brockworth, and Highnam, which covers the Longford and Innsworth areas.
The Conservatives had run the council for 20 years and lost 20 seats to finish with six.
Reform UK won 11 seats, the Green Party has nine seats and Labour were left with just one. There is also one independent.
The Liberal Democrats are promising to improve core services, support the local economy, ensure roads are well maintained and safe, and that our most vulnerable children and adults are well cared for.
