Joanne arranges art packs for local children

For those with young children in the house, this summer brought more challenges than usual.

When Councillor Joanne Brown heard that the Gloucester Culture Trust were providing free art packs for children, she was keen to find out more.

Joanne said: "I contacted the organisers who said that the packs had been designed by local artists to encourage the children to be creative and included a wide variety of materials and numerous suggestions.

"Over the four weeks of the project about 80 packs were delivered to me. I passed them to families in Barnwood and also to Barnwood School, for children of key workers.

"I'm grateful for help given to me by local resident Lindsey."
