Is the Aspen Medical Centre a one-star service?

The Aspen Medical Centre is based in Horton Road and was opened in 2014 when three local doctors' surgeries moved in.

London Road, Heathville Road and Barnwood doctors' surgeries have now merged into one practice along with the Saintbridge surgery.

Patients have rated the AMC as a one-star service with criticism being posted online about long delays in getting the phone answered to book an appointment.

Your Lib Dem councillors have also received emails from unhappy patients.

County Councillor Jeremy Hilton said: "The AMC has 14 doctors serving 29,548 patients and I'm one of them. That is 2,111 patients per doctor.

"The facilities at the centre are so much better than before, but is it a one-star practice?

"A modern medical centre must provide the best quality medical care to its patients "I have recently had a meeting with the practice and I am told the reception system has been improved.

"We would like to hear your opinion. Do write to us."
