Fallen tree swiftly cut back after blocking footpath in Longlevens

A tree that fell blocking a footpath in Longlevens has been cut back.

Local residents and Longlevens Liberal Democrats reported the fallen tree to the city council after being alerted to it on Saturday morning.

Within hours the tree was cut back so it was no longer blocking the footpath, which runs alongside Horsbere Brook and connects Cheltenham Road with the Greyhound estate.

"We will now be pressing the council to remove the rest of the tree," said Linda Castle.
