‘Book and collect’ coming to Hucclecote Library

As the lockdown eases Councillor David Brown contacted the head of library services at Shire Hall to ask about the plans for opening the doors to Hucclecote library.

David said: "I know that local people place a high value on having a well-stocked library and the feedback was encouraging.

"The head of library services informed me that work is taking place to offer a collection service at Hucclecote from the end of the week commencing July 20.

"In addition to the collection services the plans are to adapt the layout in all libraries in order to adhere to the current social distancing guidelines.

"This will be done on a rolling programme as it will require some significant internal changes in most libraries."
