Between 2015 to 2016 and 2025 to 2026, Gloucester has seen a 3.9% cash reduction in Core Spending Power, the Government’s own measure of council funding
Councillors Declan Wilson and Alwin Wiederhold are part of the Liberal Democrat team representing Hucclecote on the city council.
Declan has represented the area for 20 years and is now deputy leader of the council and cabinet member for resources.
Alwin Wiederhold lives in Hucclecote and works locally. He has been a school parent governor and is a regular cyclist. He was first elected in May 2024.
City councillor Ashley Bowkett will be standing for the county council in Barnwood & Hucclecote division as Councillor David Brown is stepping down after many years of dedicated service.
