The bollards have been fitted between Manu Marble Way and Millstone Way which means residents no longer having to drag their waste bins and recycling boxes to the end of the street for collection.
Gloucester City Council had made it harder to use the pay by phone option – often favoured by elderly residents who do not want to pay online – for the annual £50 bin charge.
