Compromise sought over trees
The Lib Dems are calling for a compromise to be reached between the city council
and King’s School over the future of two conifer trees near the cathedral.
The school wants the trees felled in order to replace a damaged boundary wall on the corner of St Mary’s Street.
“I have tabled a motion to council which if agreed would hopefully see the trees saved and an agreement reached on replacing the wall,” said Councillor Rebecca Trimnell.
